Royal Waffle KIng in Blue Ridge

While one would initially think this is similiar to a Waffle House, they are worlds apart. Very impressed with the quality of the food and even more impressed with the service! Visited on our honeymoon. They seemed very busy and there were only 4 staff. 2 cooks and 2 servers, and I tell you what, we waited for nothing. Our server (Beth? Bel? Bev?) was super friendly and very ontop of it. Took excellent care of us. The food was delicious and very modestly priced. Place was spotless and they took several safety precautions due to recent health concerns. Definite recommend. Thank you!

Came in on a Sunday morning, service was fast and friendly, food was correct and good. I will go there again.

We were visiting friends in Blue Ridge and decided to try the Waffle King for breakfast. This turned out to be a great decision. The food was excellent and the service was friendly and very helpful. Everything was cooked to perfection and the coffee was good. Plenty of free parking and the restaurant is conveniently located just off of hwy 76

Our server, Cindy, was amazing! She was very thorough and we were quite impressed it was only her 1st week working there! Food is pretty good breakfast grub; they have the basics, no frills. I could have done without the biscuits and gravy. I should have done the raisen toast instead.

What is not to love here? Every item on the menu is huge and amazingly delicious! I love the porch!! Super staff!

My husband and I stopped to eat. We ordered our food, and I took over an hour to receive. They were not even that crowded. I personally don't believe that it should take over an hour to cook 4 eggs, 2 sausage patties, and 3 pancakes. I would not recommend this place to anybody. In are certainly would not ever been a scene here again. You're better off going to McDonald's. If I could give it 0 stars, I would.

When you want something like the Waffle House BUT with more options, excellent friendly service AND a nice covered patio then the Royal Waffle King is the best option hands down!!! Open 24/7

We thought Royal Waffle King was going to be a Waffle House knockoff, but we were hungry and didn't know the area. It was so much better than that. They have a great menu. We are on the covered porch with great weather and a view of the mountains. The food was cooked perfectly and our server was on it.👍

Amazing breakfast! I so wish we had Waffle Kings further south! We eat here every morning when we’re up here from Florida. All we have is Waffle House, and everyone knows there’s no comparison!!! We dream of shopping at Ingles, and eating at Waffle King......both of which we do not have in Florida! ☹️ My wife and I plan on moving up here within the next few years though! We love North Georgia, and we love Waffle King!! God bless!! ✝️

Staff was friendly, had my order right away, never lacked for anything and the food was great, love the country fried steak with gravy, much recommended.

Rude staff. Asked for a drink to go. They have no lids. Waiter claims it’s her first day but has worked here before and is clueless to what customer service satisfaction means. Good food though.

Small little diner with awesomely American food. I probably don't want to know how many calories were in my sandwich and fries, but I don't even care. It was super good and super fast and the health inspector report posted on the door was flawless. We had five people in our party and no complaints.

Great food, great service

I came in for a late breakfast. there were about 3 tables occupied in the dining room. I ordered the ribeye with eggs. After 20 minutes, I looked up and saw the cook just now starting to make my order. When I got my food after about 35 minutes, my steak was inedible. literally inedible. I got maybe one bite of steak. The rest was gristle and fat. I told the server about the steak and all I got was "I'm sorry about that " and he walked away. when I went up to pay, I reminded him that the steak was still sitting on my plate. he said he would comp my coffee. ...my coffee. My server was at least pleasant. That is why I gave one star. I would like to add that I am not a visiting tourist. I'm a local and have eaten here plenty of times without an incident like this.

Since when did waffle king close? They could’ve at least put a sign on the door, or turned the outside lights off. Unbelievable!

Very friendly staff and good breakfast food.

Waited 45 mins for food, table that was 2 orders behind us and seated 5 mins after us got there food before our food was even put on the grill. Paid for drinks and left without eating. Worse service ever.

Meh. The food is really blah, the salads are just bagged iceburg. Service okay. About what one would expect, I guess.

Food is delicious but our server was the best part! She was so personable & attentive without being annoying! She told us she was known as the coffee girl & although I drink my coffee real fast...& got 3 cups, she was always there at the perfect time with more coffee. She also provided us with extra creamers when she noticed we were running out. She is one of your biggest assets. 👌

This place desperately needs more employees. There was only one person cooking which made the wait time very long. The food was not spectacular. The waffle batter seemed to have sat too long or not mixed properly as the waffle was not fluffy. It could literally be pulled apart into to two halves. The bacon was overcooked, and the eggs were quite bland. We were disappointed to say the least. People that arrived after us received food before we did indicating some disorganization. You could tell the employees were tired and needed some help.

Service was a little slow here, but it was obvious they were hurting for staff. I'm pretty sure our waitress was having to cook our food. No worries though the food was really good so it made up for the wait. Thanks guys. Visited last week.

Went into Waffle King in Blue Ridge and had some breakfast with a good friend had great food and good hospitality with Nicole and Tae as our servers they were great!

The service was fast and friendly. The food was perfectly cooked and came out very quickly. The coffee was doable. Overall, my wife and I enjoyed our breakfast on New Year's day morning, 2019!

Comfort food at a good price

Cheap imitation waffles, but all of these places anymore just don't serve it like in the old days. My mother use to make them on a really hot griddle and they were crispy, I don't eat waffles out because I was spoiled back then, also just able to put some butter and powdered sugar and that was that. I would pay a little more if you have really maple syrup and real butter.Coffee was good, waitress excellent, place was clean and comfortable. Sorry for the poor review its not your fault they all like that

My parents just moved to Blue Ridge (I live in Jasper) and I spent my day driving their pets up from Middle Georgia. We were all cold and hungry by the time we got done and we didn't want burgers and I don't eat Waffle House after working for them. We stopped at Waffle King. We were greeted by a gentleman who promptly asked how I was doing and how many people we had and immediately suggested don't sit in front of the door if we are cold and suggested a table towards the restrooms where we wouldn't feel a draft. He got our drinks for us and our server came over very quickly and got our order. The food was hot and it came out quick. We were very pleased with our server and the food and my parents said they will be coming back to eat and I know I will be stopping by there as well. This was a great first experience in Blue Ridge for my parents.

Food was great, staff and cook friendly, but I would love for them to do a good deep cleaning! It desperately needs it! And I would enjoy my food so much more if it was cleaner.

This isn't the nicest restaurant, but the food was great and service was wonderful. There was only one woman cooking, so I thought my family of 5 would wait forever. Nope! She was on it and got our food to us in a timely manner. The waitress was very friendly and chatted with us for a few minutes.
